free our hearts freedom for everyone"  
b) They put him in jail because he fought for freedom and justice. This whole song is about the injustice that Mandela lived, they hoped he'd die because if he did- hope for freedom will be forever gone. Mandela embodied hope itself.   
c) The tone is quite lively and slow while having a good rythmn
