His father Jamef Bwelle was hurt in 1981 in a car accident near Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon. He suffered only a broken arm at first, but an infection developed and spread to his brain, creating a hematoma that would affect him for the rest of his life.
Dr George Bwelle acquired his experience first of all by working as a vascular surgeon in the Hospital Central of Yaoundé. Since 2008, he and his volunteers team of the ASCOVIME travel the weekend in rural areas in Cameroon to supply care free of charge. Last year, they executed 700 free surgeries and restored (the will to live) the hope for lots of underprivileged people.
