This house belonged to my great uncle Jules, it was an old hunter's house. It still exists and is located in the middle of a forest, in Normandy. He was born in 1910. His parents had separated and he had been abandoned by the age of 10. During the Second World War, when he was adolescent, he had gone to hide in the forest and the Germans had found him, and had given him food. At the age of 40, my great uncle had decided to settle in the forest. His work was guardian of forest and woodcutter. He had no water or electricity but he had a well and candles. To feed, he produced his own vegetables and he breed rabbits and chickens. He had three dogs that he loved more than anything. Their name's were Miket, Domino and Sutan. One day, my great uncle was injured and went to the hospital. We killed his dog and, out of sadness, he let himself die. He died in 1985.
