I will speak of Christopher Columbus and his famous voyage to the Indies.
Christopher Columbus is and was a famous explorer of the 15th century. He discovers what was called the new world that is now called the American continent. It was during the night of October 11th and 12th, 1492, on board two caravels, that he made this journey. It was by seeking a new route to the East Indies, a direct route from Europe to Asia He finds himself, his men and his two caravels on the American continent in the vicinity of Cuba. The two major difficulties of this trip were water resources, as the transport of drinking water was complex because the storage was not large enough for the number of sailors on board, but the most important was the winds Be good to go but not for return. Finally the man not being a simple explorer but also a confirmed sailor quickly found a solution to this problem. The great discoveries of the man offered him a certain notoriety which offers him the title of hero. I do not think it really deserves this title being given that it has not saved anyone and my definition of a hero stops at this point. All the same, I admire his courage to have gone to the unknown without ever turning towards the difficulties of this journey and as such I can understand that he is considered a hero. I chose Christopher Columbus because he is a great recognized man who has undoubtedly brought a lot to the world given his interest today in both studies and everyday life everyone knows Christopher Columbus for his discovery .
