bonsoir
1- Chenjerai Hove may have felt happy, remembering his life in Zimbabwe when rain was waited as a Goddess giving life to his arid country and arid soils.
Life could come back, rain was a harbinger (a message) for better days that your mother wanted to celebrate by composing a small poem.
Having just landing in Norway with rain falling reminded him what he had left behind him, not willing it, maybe with some sadness as well.

n°1 : Arrival in Norway, one of the town of the journey which is going to be his life (My life is a journey : stop in Norway)
n°2 : The rain ...A different feeling from people about the rain and the sun.
Unlike him, people there prefer the sun as the rain
n° 3 : The Ice !! People never fall and even race on it as if it was sand !
Discovery of a totally opposite : sand and ice
n°4 : The silence opposite the noise of Harare. Difference of mentality. This silence is disturbing, it explodes in his ears.... May it could leave their minds
sadder and with more sorrow...
n°5 : Illnesses are different . No malaria. But eating wrong things and always in a rush
n°6 : ups and downs but more downs. He feels homesick
n°7 : Thinking about the future. Willing to come back even though he knows it probably won"t ever happen
n°8 : He finally makes his choice to discover other lands : as he says at the beginning , his life will be a journey that will never last
(je ne savais pas s'il fallait faire juste des titres ou développer.....tu peux raccourcir facile)

j'ai l'impression d'avoir tout dit
In Norway, they prefer the sun than the rain
The snow and ice instead of the sand
The silence /the noise
the health : no malaria but a lot of stress

Hove is discovering a world where everything he was used to like and live is so different .....the contrast is so huge, he can't help comparing each time with his country. He doesn't hate Norway but he may think people could be happier as in Zimbabwe, with the music of birds, the noise of homes or streets; the sun-settings

Hove's life has its ups and downs . Probably its "ups" knowing he couldn't stay safe in his country, he is a political refugee and is probably lucky to still be alive, he is going to travel , but he knows he'll never come back to his real home for ever, won't never see his family again and these are real "downs". He will stay homesick forever
j'espère ne pas avoir fait trop de fautes
en fait mes réponses sont toujours un peu les mêmes....je crois que j'ai été trop long sur la question 2 ....????
en espérant te donner quand même un coup de main
bonne nuit :)
