The black community, shocked by this situation, was setting up a broad mobilization around the slogan "Free Angela", which took place in all countries in favor of the political prisoner.
After sixteen months' imprisonment came the day on his trial, the 4th June 1972, where she was acquitted of all the charges against her by a jury made up only with white people, during a mediated trial that updated an FBI plot in order to harm Angela Davis. After that, she was released.
