The Statue of Liberty
The Statue of Liberty one of the most famous landmarks(monument) of the USA. This statue is in New York, on Liberty island, south of Manhattan. It wsa built in France and donated(offerte) by people of France to Americans to celebrate the centenary of the Americain Decleration of Independance. The statue is part of the National Historic Landmarks since October 15, 1924. The Statue of Liberty, in addition to being a very important monument of New York City, has become one of the symbols of the USA and more generally represents freedom(liberté). The architect is Auguste Balthodi. The engineer is Gustave Eiffel. Matérial are a concrete and granite pedestale, copper cladding and steel structure.
