Nelson Mandela was a former president of south africa. He fought equality in south africa. And espacially against apartheid. Apartheid is a policy that aims to separate black people from white people. As it says: "I learned that courage is not the absence of fear, but the ability to overcome it", with courage, he fought against tjis inequality despite police harassment and prison. He spent more 27 years in prison. Afterwards to fight this inequality, he led his fight with actions of civil desobedience, then we the use of weapons. In 1991, apartheid came to an end.
