Compréhension écrite:

1.Read the text and answer the questions.

2.introduce(présente) the document.

3.Where does the scene take place?

4.who are the main character(personnage principaux).

5. Can you associate each character with an adjective which describes it?

6.What happened? What is the situation?

7. Can you describe the creature? (Physical description, capacities etc..)

8. Do you recognize (reconnaître) this creature? What’s its name?

9. What will they do with the creature?

10. What is funny / ironic at the enfin? Why?


Vocabulary / Grammar :

a. Repère les temps utilisés dans ce texte. Nomme l’es et explique pourquoi et dans quel cas on les utilise.

b. Fais la liste des verbes qui introduisent le discours direct.

c. Liste les mots qui te posent problème et essaient de trouver leur sens

2. It’s a dialogue of a novel

3. The scene take place on the forest , jungle

4. The main character are animals with a lion king ,gorilla,bear,parrot,snake,leopard,monkey

5. The lion king is the boss of the jungle, l.6 a grumpy gorilla, l.8 a big brown bear, l.10 a noisy parrot, l.12 an old slow snake, l.14 a lazy leopard, l.21 a clever monkey l.24 baby monkey

6. The lion king saw a weird creature into the jungle, all the animals are scared and excited to see this new creature

7. He eat bananas but he can’t climb trees he make some noises with his mouth he have hairs on his head but not on his body he have four legs but he walks with just two legs he can’t run faster

8. It’s a human (je ne vois pas la fin mais je crois qu’il lont appeler man mais a toi de voir sur ta fiche)

9. They catch him in a cage for all the animals can come and see him

10. Je ne sais pas quoi répondre désolé

A. Present simple et preterit ( je ne suis pas très forte en temps)

B. Say ,raised , grunted , exclaimed ,said,added,declared, asked,interrupted ( tu es sur que la question est discours direct et non pas indirect vu que tt les verbes sont au passé et pour le discours direct les verbes doivent etre au présent)

C. A toi de voir les mots qui te posent problème

2- à la fin du texte que tu as posté tu dois avoir le nom du  livre et l'auteur

3- The scene takes place in a forest in an animal Kingdom.

4- The main characters are the animals of the forest : the lion, surrounded by a gorilla,  a bear, a parrot, a snake, a leopard and a monkey.

5- The lion isthe King, he's majestic; the gorrrilla is grumpy, the bear is big and brown; the parrot is noisy; the snake is old and slow; the leopard is lazy; the monkey is clever and the baby monkeys are excited.

6- A new creature has appeared in the forest but they don't know what it looks like and they all want to catch it.

7- This creature has four legs, but only walks on two; it eats bananas but can't climb on trees, has got hair only on its head, makes strange noise with its mouth noone can understand and runs very fast. 

8- With the description, this creature has to be a human being and they call it MAN.

9- They want to put it in a cage so other animals would come to see it and would have to pay for it. (they want to sell tickets).

10- The funny and ironic thing is that animals and man have the opposite role they usually have. The man is in cage instead of the animals which are going to feed him, make faces at him...

vocabulary/grammar
a- the text is written in the preterit tense. But the dialogue is written in the present tense to bring life in it. (Le texte est écrit au prétérit mais les dialogues le sont au présent pour rendre le texte plus vivant; comme en français, on utilise le présent de narration.)

Note = quand je parle de la créature, je mets "it" pas "he"... puisque c'est "une créature"... 

b- verbes qui introduisent le discours direct 
 (je  mets en Base Verbale-non conjugué ceux qui précédent ds le récit)
-say //grunt (grogner)// exclaim // add // declare // ask // interrupt



note = raise n'est pas un verbe de parole = raised his hand = leva la main

pour la 1ére question, regarde bien en bas à droite de la page. Ce doit être écrit précisément..
