The American flag : the Stars and
Stripes
The article
is a source of the American government. It tells the symbols on the American
flag and what the colors represent. The flag represents freedom and liberty; the
fifty stars are a nation. They are fifty-one but The district of Columbia
(Washington D.C) or Porto Rico not are represented but this is a project, the
lines are the thirteen colonies. The colors are not choice but symbolic: red is
valor and bravery; white: purity and innocence and blue is vigilance,
perseverance, justice. I like this decision because the colors aren’t choice
for everything They have a veritable origin. The stars on the flag are sewn to
symbolize the union between States. The first flag appeared on 14 June 1777,
the second is on 4 July 1960 because the number of states increased: Hawaii’s
star is the last one to have been added, but the flag has been modified 26
times since 1777. Georges Washington said on 8 November 1902 for the
declaration of independence “We take stars from Heaven, the red from our mother
country, separating it by white stripes, thus slowing that we have separated
from her, and the white stripes shall go down to posterity representing
Liberty”. For the stripes, they
represent the thirteen original colonies are those of North America and the Britannic
empire. America takes care of the flag, clean it and sew up if it is necessary.
If the flag is very damaged, the American people need burn it in a special way:
We get in touch with veterans or scouts, only these persons can burn the flag
during a ceremony because that can be seen as a political sign of contesting;
We can’t stick the flag on the ceiling. In America, the flag must be put at
dawn at sunset and for the night take a lighting system. clothes with the
