Bonjour
I was so terrified .... That night my father came into my room before going to sleep and told me that the next morning we were going to run away at dawn. He explained Honduras had become a dangerous territory for us.He also said that we were going to America with my uncle.
To tell the truth, I was really happy to flee Honduras. I thought that it couldn't get worse anywhere else even though I was going to miss my friends, my home. So, the next morrning, I helped my mother to pack some clothes, I took my diary, my teddy bear and we went away.
To make me feel better my dad told me a story about a little girl who, like me,had gone seeking hapiness in America. She had met so many friends that now she could live happily with her relatives.
He also promised me he would buy me a bike once we would be there.
We walked a lot, we didn't stop to save time to get to the boarder before sunset to avoid danger.
As young as I was, I could understand why we were fleeing : in Honduras, poverty, gangs, drug-trafficking were our everday lives. After a few hours we finally reached the boarder. We found a little shelter where we spent the night. The next day we were back on the road...
Voilà; j'ai un peu modifié ton texte... J'ai corrigé certaines phrases trop longues ou trop alambiquées.... Je pense que c'est un peu plus fluide mais je ne suis pas bilingue...
bonne journée :)
