Recette facile en anglais : le carrot cake
225 g carrots
225 g farine
2 teaspoons baking powder, pinch of salt
2 eggs
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 tablespoons orange juice
140 g brown sugar
For the icing 125 g cream cheese 6 tablespoons icing sugar
♦ Grate the carrots. Put the flour and baking powder into a bowl. Mix in the carrots, salt, brown sugar and cinnamon.
♦ Put the mixture into the cake tin. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C for 50 minutes. Leave to cool.
♦ Beat the cream cheese and icing sugar. Spread over the cake.
CHOCOLATE POTATO CAKE
Ingrediens
⇒50g of starch
⇒1 pinch of vanilla
⇒100g of dark chocolate
⇒100g of sugar
⇒3 eggs
⇒130g of butter
⇒400g of potatoes
Preparation
STEP 1 :
Wash the potatoes without peeling them. Cook in a pot of water 30 min with small broths. Drain and dry in the oven. Peel them still warm. Pass them to the vegetable mill, fine grid,
over a terrine.
2ND STEP :
Over low heat, melt the chocolate in a small saucepan with 100g of butter. Separate the egg yolks from the whites.
STEP 3:
Work the puree with powdered sugar, egg yolks, starch, vanilla and chocolate with a wooden spatula.
STEP 4:
Beat the egg whites. Stir in the puree without breaking them.
turn on the oven, TH6.
STEP 5:
Butter a mold. Pour the mixture. Pass the cake in the oven 30 min. Unwind again warm. Serve warm or cold.
STEP 6:
Serve with jam or custard
