At Newscared Castle, Sir Philp Johnsohn was found dead on January 13th at 11 am. He was 42 years old, was a divorced man with no children. He was found by his neighbor, James Smith. They met at 10am. drink coffee at James's. Since Philip did not come, he decided to go to his living room because he had the key to Philip's house. When he came in, Philip was dead and then James called the police.
Two detectives are driven to the castle. They saw that the door was locked inside. Philip did not have to invite anyone and know the murderer. The window was open, so they understood that the murderer was sporty and slim to jump and get in there. Then they dated the murder at 8 o'clock in the morning. Then, the detectives left the house to inspect the garden where there was footprints. These prints had to be made by someone who had a prosthetic leg.
The two detectives found two suspects in the case: the housekeeper, Mrs. William June and the neighbor James Smith. They both had a prosthesis and were sporty and thin. But James Smith had an alibi: he was lecturing at the time of the crime. So they realized that the murderer was Mrs. William. His motive was stealing Johnsohn's money a week ago and he was at risk of going to jail.
Thanks to the clues, Ms. William has been put in prison for 30 years. But the murder is not admitted and he still claims his innocence.
