All over the world, there are marinas, created to develop the economy of oceanfront cities by attracting new tourists. These developments, although economically profitable, cause real environmental impacts.
These spaces destroy many ecosystems. Also, the pollution generated by boats and left at sea has considerable consequences on the aquatic species present, already overexploited. Nature, by the action of Man, is disfigured, killed and soiled. Often, we find many oil discharges at the Riviera, where are located recognized marinas in the world: the Old Port, the Nice coast,...
So, in order to fight this gradual extinction of aquatic ecosystems, environmental management projects, to limit pollution in the coastlines have been created.
This is the case with the Ramoge agreement, which has to goal to restore destroyed vegetation, at the level of the Riviera and northern Italy. Also, the city of Nice organized awareness actions, with the strong slogan "The world of silence can't longer be silent". This campaign wich talks at local people but also tourists, is part of an European project, called "Urban Waste". The world is increasingly involved in the sustainable development of our heritage.
