Bonsoir, j'ai un exercice de grammaire sur le past perfect, present perfect, prétérit, à faire en anglais et j'aimerais savoir si quelqu'un pourrait me venir en aide. L'exercice est ci-dessous :
Exercice 1 : mettez les verbes entre parenthèses au passé :
1 : Last night I (to see)....... Jack at the supermarket while I (to wait)....... at the cashier.
He (to tell)...........me that He (to want).........to contact me for months. He also (to mention)......... that he (to be)........sick.
2 : My car (just to break down)..............this is why I am late today. I (to have) this car for 10 years and until today I (never to have)........ any sort of problems. One time thought it (to run out) ........... of battery.

Je t’écris juste les verbes mais pas les phrase :

1. I had seen , I had waited , He had told, he had wanted . He had mentioned, he had sicked.

2. Just had broken down. I had, I never had, it had run out.

Voilà j’espère que ça t’a aidé. Je suis pas sur du quelle passe tu voulais donc j’ai utilisé le past perfect .

1- Last night I saw Jack at the supermarket while I was waiting at the cashier.

 (preterit + prétérit BE + V-ing pour l'action en cours)

 He told me that he had wanted to contact me for months.

  prétérit + past perfect pour une action antérieure à la première)

He also mentioned that he had been sick. (idem que précédemment ; prétérit = past perfect action antérieure à la première)

2- My car has just broken down this is why I am late today. (present perfect   pour une action qui vient de se passer et qui a un lien avec le présent). I have had this car for 10 years and until today I have never had any sorts of problem. (present perfect; toujours lien avec le présent = until now). One time I thought it ran out of battery. (prétérit action passée terminée)
