Today i am going to speack about Spanglish. As the name implies the Spangish is a mix between two languages: Spanish and English. This dialect was born in the United States between 1950 and 1970, mainly in Texas, California,New York or Floride . It is also present in Latin America like porto rico
The Spanglish is spoken by the Hispanic population and mainly by the latin america immigrants. In united States among the 50 million Spanish speackers about half of them use the Spanglish.
Here are few examples of words in Spanglish :
lonche, marqueta, apointment, footing.
Several areas are influenced by the Spanglish . In the industry musical several singers and group use the Spaglish. In litterature they are authors like Ana Lidia Vega or Giannina Brashi who use also this dialect . Moreover the Spanglish is very present in the advertising.
The Spanglish is a dialect which divides the opinion. Indeed some people think the Spanglish is useful, pratice and facilitates the communication and therefore the integration of Spanish speakers in the united Stated. Others believe that this langage remove the wealth and the charm of the english language.
Even if this langague is not official it is very present in the united states we can therefore a linguistic phenomenon.
