For my training-course,I worked in a restaurant from Monday till Wenesday. During this period, I observed my colleagues' work and helped them. My working hours were from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.without any break. We were having lunch at 3 p.m. altogether.
Each morning, I had to clean up the restaurant, (wash the floor, hoover, lay the tables -mettre le couvert ? je suppose que c'est ce que tu as voulu dire- and so on....) . They gave me some responsabilities as serving customers and clearing away the tables. I didn't get any money.
The skills you must have are : to be polite, cheerful, welcoming,responsible, hard-working, patient, outgoing. (le contraire de shy), confident (avoir confiance en soi le contraire de unsure);;;...(j'en ai rajouté...tu fais comme tu veux)
I didn't like so much my experience in the restaurant. I was expecting something else. Ther're no break at all, you've to be really hard-working, always rushing, ....it's was really exhausting !! You don't have time to really take care of the customers (je te rajoute un point qui contrebalance un peu le négatif !!).
However, it was a rewarding experience.
