"Are you serious?" I stared at him incredulously.
"Yes, I am," came the reply. "Is there a problem?"
"Yes! There is a problem!" I exclaimed. "You just invited my arch enemy to MY birthday party! You'd better go and tell him it was all a mistake, and I am not planning a party this year."
"No, man, I can't. Jessie was right next to him when I invited him, and Jessie told him that he had been invited too. So you can't say that you haven't planned it yet."
I looked down at my shoes in despair. How was I going to get out of this situation?
