I started my internship in secondary education at ITCF in Namur, Belgium, in the office of the school management's secretary, the secretary manages phone calls of teachers or anyone else as well as reception. The office was not very big, there was only one computer and a telephone for two.
I worked with Mrs. Todaro as well as the director and the educators.
My internship started from 8:30 to 16:00 except on Wednesdays where it finished at 12:00.
I was overwhelmed by the diverse tasks, like the telephone, the letter writing, the fingerprinting, organizing the files and paperwork, and the emails.
The telephone reception was one of the most complicated tasks during the first few days because I was a bit shy.
I really liked the connection between the staff members and their kindness and good service.
What displeased me was when my internship manager wasn't there for more than a entire week, they didn't know what to make me do other than man the telephone for the entire day.
