The Baux-of-Provence are a French commune, located in the department of Bouches-of-Rhone and the region Provence-Alpes-Coast of Azur.
The Baux, located in the Alpilles massif, are today mainly a tourist site before being a place of life. They are one of the most beautiful villages in France and they welcome more than one and a half million visitors per year [1]. 22 inhabitants still live in the Baux enclosure - the upper part of the village - and 450 inhabitants for the whole commune.
