Nowadays (de nos jours) there are a lot of technological device (objet technologique) like console, smartphone, television, DVD player,... In this picture, we can see a couple who is discreetly looking at their child who is completely absorbed in those devices.
The parents convince an impression of disappointment (déception) at the difference of the child who is calling somebody up and he is completely chilled (serein). With the disappointment of the parents we can understand that the child certainly have done a mistake and he was punished to his bedroom like the other child. This is why the mother asks the father if the mistake was more to punished the child because he has all he wants in his room and in conclusion it is not really a punishment.
