The Apartheid is over in South Africa since 1994.How is the situation more than 20 years ago ?
Millions of Black people have been educated and risen out poverty.
But as Desmond Tutu says, he is happy that Mandela died not to see what was going on nowadays.
Government corruption is a major problem; there are still violent crimes. The HIV/AIDS is among the highest in the world and many poor black communities haven't seen much improvement.
On the labour market , there are 28% Black unemployment and only 10 % for Whites. The income for a white family is around 33 108 dollars per family per year as for a black family it's around 6914 dollars , so 5 times less.
Inequalities between the Black majority, 80 % of the South-African and the White minority (8 % only) are all the more (d'autant plus) shocking because the national average is around 10 281 per family per year
If segregation is over, racism is still there and people have been so educated that way that they don't even think about it. Some personalities have to excuse themselves after a speech, realizing afterwards they used non appropriate words in their comments, because they have been condemned by the press.....
So yes , apartheid is legally over but there is still much to do
