The 19th march 1988 two British Army
Corporals David Howes and Derek Wood were killed by the IRA which is army Irish
republican provisional. They were killed in the city Andersons town in the
region Belfast in the Northern of Ireland. This two soldiers were off-duty and
were shot savagely after met the funeral procession of an IRA member.
Which know how IRA has arrived to kill Wood and Howes it must wind 3 days
before.
The 16th March 1988, paramilitary Michael Stone had attacked an IRA funeral in
the Milltown Cemetery making 3 dead and many wounded. And whose one of the 3
dead belonged of IRA.
So David and Derek were killed thinking they were in Andersons town which
remake same of Michael Stone.
Which protect of attack Mister Wood took his arm and shot in the air for remove
the crowd. The soldiers were dragged to the nearby Casement Park sports ground.
Then they was shot and stripped to their underpants and socks. Finally the two men's
were driven less than 200 yards to waste ground near Penny Lane. This incident
was filmed by televisions cameras and the images have been described as some of
the "most dramatic and harrowing" of the conflict in Nothern Ireland.
This video watch of the crowd weren't afraid to re attack the car after
gunshot, they attacked with many objects. The 2 soldiers were removed of the
car and were hit and thrown on the ground.
A journalist recalled one of the men were dragged past a group of journalists
and this soldier didn't cry but he looked at journalists with terrified eyes,
as though they were all enemies in a foreign country. Corporals Derek Wood was
shot six times and Corporals David Howes was shot five times.
