Dear readers,
Since the beginning of the year, I have been taking part in a school association called "Us For Them" and whose aim is to help refugees living in the streets of Paris. Every three weeks or so, we would hold a bakesale and have been collecting warm clothes all year long. Our biggest profit was reached when selling roses for Valentine's Day. We have gained 2000€ and have been to a camp to distribute the clothes we collected and bought with the association's money.
I know that most of you feel like you do not have enough time to do any humanitarian work because of the loads of homework and revisions we all need to do. But I wanted to truly help people, use my relatively wealthy status to help those who have nothing. If you can read this article, it means that are richer and luckier than you think. Helping the association and meeting refugees had opened my eyes and given me insight to so many issues we need to solve. Together, you and me, if you join Us For Them, we can start making a change. The world needs it.
