Dear compatriots,
I want to hear your voices, like the other candidates, but I can not bring myself to lie to you.
You know as well as I do that we live in a dramatic economic context, in the situation of the one who falls from a skyscraper, saying on every floor "so far, everything is fine".
No, not everything is going well. As you know, we all know, and we are all more or less responsible for this situation. We politicians, who you sold dream and comfort on credit. You who had the naivety of believing and electing us.
For 30 years, you have lived much better (or less bad), thanks to the payment of social bills by the accumulation of a huge debt. This debt is exploding in the face.
I am not a hero, I have no ready-made solution or a magic wand to erase our past wanderings. Do not count on me to make you shine an artificial paradise in order to attract your votes.
I will not make predictions or promises in numbers that I can not keep. All that I propose to you, what I sincerely promise you, is to be the intractable defender of certain values. These values are those that would allow us to cross the storm leaving as few victims as possible on the roadside. Here they are :
1) Always act in a transparent way; To ensure that every citizen can be fully and immediately informed of what is decided in his name and for his future.
2) Fighting all forms of corruption, making public all the links of interest that pervert decision-making bodies and their experts, including parliamentarians.
3) Dismantle the oligarchies which have seized control levers of entire sections of the economy. I am talking about situation rents, positions obtained in the shadow of networks and not those linked to talent or entrepreneurial success.
4) Whenever possible, take the advice of all when a local decision permits and justifies it: to establish subsidiarity as a dogma against French Jacobinism.
5) Try to work with men and women in love with the common good and not with their careers or the interests of their friends.
6) Give citizens the opportunity to judge public services and their stakeholders, whatever they may be, and take these views into account in advancing public service careers, bonuses and budgetary allocations.
7) Not trying to manage innovation, no government has ever managed to do so because innovation is fundamentally spontaneous. Attempting to manage it is tantamount to paralyzing it.
8) Believe in individual initiative more than in a sprawling state regulation.
9) Improve security by relaunching the local police, the only one to have ever proved its worth.
10) Improve health by placing the patient's interest in front of that of industrialists and caregivers.
(11) Never resort to the principle of reality to justify wrongdoing, even when the interests of the State appear to justify it.
12) Make you proud of those who govern you, even if sacrifices are needed.
As you understand, I am simply trying to give you the power. It will not be easy, but at least, by voting for me, you will have tried your luck.
