I am going to speak about the notion "idea of progress". The idea of progress can be defined as an improvement, a development or a change: in terms of science, technology, social advance, and quality of life which contributes to make the world a better place.

A problematic could be: what are the advantages and the inconveniences of the progress?

We will talk about science progress, then technology progress, and finally the social network.

I will use 2 documenta to illustrate this notion, which are 1 oral comprehension whose entitle "Technology gets disabled people back on their feet" and 1 text whose named "two paths toward our robot future"

First of all, we are going to speak about science progress. Nowadays thanks to the evolution of medicine, we can live to 90 years, with serious disease or without a part of our body. For example, an athletic woman who had spinal cord injury and thanks to the exoskeleton, she coulds stand up, walk again or do activities of the daily living. Before the genetic manipulation was a science fiction business but now it's a procedure to identify embryos with fatal genetic diseases but now it is used for something different. In California laboratory some researcher found a process to choose the gender of baby. To my opinion, much invention saves people's lives but it should not go to far and that it remains partly natural.

Now take an interest in technology progress: robotics.
Today this is one of the most important business sector. With the evolution of mechanical and electronic systems... The robots are evolving quickly. Now a robot can cook, wash, welcome people in shop or facilitate our life but we need to be careful and control this robots if we don't want to be surpassed.

Finally, we can talk about a current theme, the news method of information: the social network. They are really usefull, quick and you can meet and chat with people all around the world but we have to be careful about who we talk and share information.

To my opinion, the progress is a good things if it is always controlled and natural. I mean by natural something which is conform of the nature of humans and the society.
