Christopher Colomb was a Italian navigator and explorer. He has discovered America in 1492. First he arrived in an island of Bahamas.
There are many other explorers such as Vasco de Gama who discovered India.
There is also Jacques Cartier who discovered Canada.
All these people were in the period of Big Discoveries.
