To begin, my name is Jabulile Naidoo. I am a South African woman. I was born in 1961. I experienced the Apartheid period. We were forbidden by the gowernment to do a lot of things , like to get married with an Afrikaner, to go in some of the restaurants or toilets, and to do strike. Africans were prevented from receiving a good education that would lead them to aspire to positions they wouldn't be allowed to hold in society. One day, I decided to be part of a strike who were organised by ANC because the prices of the bus ticket raised. The consequences were very bad, many people are dying at this time. To conclude, the institutionalized code in South Africa made blacks and other people who were not Afrikaner subhuman. It was a horrible period for colored people that's how we were called during the apartheid.
