I now want to talk about the photo. The focus is on the raft. In fact, in the middle, we can see the inflatable dinghy surrounded by waves and eddies. The seven persons are practicing an extreme and outdoor sport called whitewater rafting without wearing a helmet. Consequently, the corresponding sentence with the photo is « Whitewater rafting in the rapids ? ». It is probably the first time they have paddled down a fast moving river. Since everyone is wearing glasses and a life jacket rafting looks risky and dangerous. But they seem to be having fun. It looks as if they are looking for sensations. Last, in the background, we can note that there are boulders.
The goal of this ad is simply to make the tour operator known and to advertise tourism. It is targeted at people who like adventure package holidays and the great outdoors. It appeals also to a sense of freedom and people’s love of sports.
To conclude, I find this advertisement effective because this advent is very attractive.
