Question 1: I think that this is a text about slaves and their conditions in US, so how they live and how they survive, and I think that it's a true story.
Question 2: The narrator of this story is Mende Nazer.
Question 3: The narrator lived in Nuba mountains, she lived in US too.
Question 4: I can see that the scene takes place in Nuba mountains, in a village, in the night, she was a children and she heard a noise outside and the village was under the fire, there were raiders everywhere. and her father and her tried to escape of this village.

7: in the last 2 lines of the text she feel free and she is studying to improve her English she seems happy, in the text before she seems very hunappy because she had a very sad and hard life.
