Bonjour j arrive pas a faire ce devoir merci de bien vouloir m aidé svp pour information je ne demande pas une traduction de la consigne
Your task
Write a letter to defend a campaign.
The situation
You are President of your local Students Against Sweatshops Organisation and you want the International
Olympic Committee (IOC) to make sure sportswear and merchandise (bags, caps and paper products) sold
to promote the next Olympic Games are manufactured in working conditions that respect ethical trading.
You are going to write a letter to present your point of view and to convince the IOC to act accordingly.
The facts
The information you have already studied in this sequence + the press cuttings below.
A campaign for a Fair Olympics
Sponsorship and merchandise
for the Olympic Games is worth
hundreds of millions of pounds.
Meanwhile, workers who produce
sportswear and merchandise,
wherever they are, are denied
their basic rights. Campaigners
want the IOC to guarantee ethical
trading for all goods bearing
the Olympic logo, ensuring that
workers’ rights are respected all
along the production chain to the
point of distribution.
New research published today
shows that licensed goods
bearing the logo of the 2012
games have been made in
factories where child labour and
gross exploitation are common.
The report finds evidence of
children as young as 12 years
old, adults earning 14p per hour
(half the legal minimum wage
in China), and employees made
to work up to 15 hours per day,
seven days a week producing
Olympic merchandise.
The report, based on interviews
with 320 workers in China, India,
Thailand and Indonesia, has
found that workers in China are
making shoes for £1 per day and
footballs for 25p each.
