Our departure day was for 6hs00 ahead of high school. I said goodbye to my parents and I got back into the car ready to travel and live a new adventure. The ride was pretty cool there was a good atmosphere and music even though the teachers were not really for it. We arrived at 10h20 in Calais in order to take the shuttle Eurotunelle. It was the first time I took the Eurotunnel. I thought we were going to see the sea, a teacher even made us a joke by saying "'Hey look out the window to see the fish'" Of course this was a joke, the Eurotunnel is a huge tunnel that runs The sleeve. We crossed the Eurotunnel in about 40 minutes, I thought it would have been longer. We went back to Windsor. We arrived in Windsor at around 2 pm. It was raining so we tried to find a shelter and found a place with tables and many Christmas decorations, it was really beautiful. Once the lunch break finished, the professors gave us our first mission. Indeed we must by group drawn a theme that will be our photo theme to do. Our theme was water, so with my group we went looking for object or landscape related to water. We found 5 photos. Once the photos were found we took our questionnaire which was to do in Windsor so we interviewed many people on Windsor. Windsor is a famous city thanks to Windsor Castle, home to the British sovereigns when they are not at Buckingham Palace. The time of free time was over we had to join the class at our rendezvous point in order to take the coaches and finally join the host families. Once we arrived at the meeting point where the families waited, we met mia, the lady who would stay for 1 week. That night we ate pizza and fries, it was delicious.
Today we had to visit street art in london and the famous Tate museum. With my friends we got up at 6.30am to get ready and take the breakfast which was for 7am. Mia we prepared a nice hot chocolate with pancakes! Around 7:30 we took the car to join the class and take the coach to London! Once arrived in london we walked down to the Spitalfields Market and met our guide. We first learned that many paintings were illegally made unless the artist has permission from the building owners to do so. So speed is an important factor in being able to create a room and leave quickly. Enter the stencil - a pre-cut creation that can be affixed, spray-painted, removed, and voila - a work is made quickly, and the artist can run off. We have seen many works but the one that marked me a lot is that of an artist known as '' Sitk ''. Stik in French means baton, so we quickly understood why he chose this name by creating these figures in baton.Even more interesting is to learn more about the artist. We discovered that he had been homeless and began to create street art, which began to build his reputation. He opened up opportunities for him to display and sell his art in well-known art galleries.Once the visit was over, the professors left us a free time of one hour to eat. Once the break was over we headed to the Tate Museum. The Tate Museum was an old factory, we can see it by its large fireplaces. We had first a free time in the museum where we had to look for a work of art that might interest us and so work on it. I chose '' The Worker's Maypole ''. Once free time in the museum finished. The teachers of history made a guided tour to tell us about different works. Around 16:00 the visit of the museum was finished and we went to the coaches. The chauffeuse gave us a short tour of london by coach it was really beautiful. I could see Big Ben in the night and the big wheel in the colors of London.
