Bonjour !
English is my favourite (favorite- l'orthographe dépend si c'est US ou GB !!) language...it's very personal ; but I enjoy watching serials on TV or movies at the cinema in original version. It's make me learn some expressions and they can't translate everything in the subtitles.
More seriously, English is the only language which will offer you opportunities to talk with people around the world.
As I want to travel a lot later on, even though in some countries they don't speak English fluently, there's always some words as "Thank you, How are you, What's your name...." which help to get in touch with the people, to try to meet them, to create some relation ship or just to be understood !!!
When I meet American or English people in France, it's a pleasure for me to help them and speak with them.
To conclude, English is an international language.
