I feel like this quote is pretty self-explanatory, there's not much to explain... It just means that we have to be careful with our actions or they will damage the earth more than it already is. It's a precious legacy we have to take care of, or else the future generation will suffer. We need to have a long-term vision, and we shouldn't only think of what's best for us at this very moment. We have to preserve our environment, and leave a better world for our children, not a burden.
