IDEA OF PROGRESS

Good morning! I'm going to talk about the notion Idea of progress. First, I'd like to define the terms of the notion. To me, a progress is a change that permits evolution or modernisation. A progress can be technologic, social, cultural, or political. In general, a progress has positive impact on our societies or on ourselves. But we can see sometimes negative effects of progress, that can be dangerous. We may then wonder: Do we have to fear progress?

On the one hand, progress is essential for our society to evolve, we need it. In this part, I'm going to talk about the advantages of progress, and to what extent we do need progress.

Now, I'm going to talk about the most important invention in the last decades: internet. Although internet gives us access to a vast networks of informations, this technological progress has substantial drawbacks. Internet has transformed our relationship to the other.
