Notion: Myth and heros
I'm going to talk you about the notion Myth and heros. As an introduction I
would like to define the notion, what is myht and heros ? Firstly a myth
can be defined as a story about gods or heros, it can be a popular belief
or a tradition or a false notion. A hero can be a mythilogical figure, a
person where is admired for his or her achievements. My problematic about this notion is why are myths and heros important to
our society ?To answer at this questions I delimited my expose at 2 part, the first part
is example of one myth and one heros, the seconde part is the explication
why is famous.
I) Example of a myths and a heroI take for example of a myth, the american dream. The American dream is a
national ethos of The US, a sit of ideals in which freedom includes the
opportunity for prosperity and success, and an upward social mobility for
the family and children, achieved throught hard work in a society with few
barriers.
For example of a hero, I'm going to talking about Martin Luther King.
Martin Luther King Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 4, 1968) was an American
Baptist minister, activist, humanitarian, and leader in the
African-American Civil Rights Movement. He is best known for his role in
the advancement of civil rights using nonviolent civil disobedience based
on his Christian beliefs.
King became a civil rights activist early in his career. He led the 1955
Montgomery Bus Boycott and helped found the Southern Christian Leadership
Conference (SCLC) in 1957, serving as its first president. With the SCLC,
King led an unsuccessful 1962 struggle against segregation in Albany,
Georgia (the Albany Movement), and helped organize the 1963 nonviolent
protests in Birmingham, Alabama, that attracted national attention
following television news coverage of the brutal police response. King also
helped to organize the 1963 March on Washington, where he delivered his
famous "I Have a Dream" speech. There, he established his reputation as one
of the greatest orators in American history.*
II) Why this myth and his heros was been famous.
In my opinion the American dream was famous because lot of people take
example such as Marilyn Monroe or Steeve Jobs who started from the bottom
and are become richan and famous. They think when they go in the US, their
lives will become better. This myth had has pleddled by Hollywood to, Hollywood shows hte model of a
family living in a nice home, surrounded by a beatiful lawn, a nice car and
beautifull children where go to the college and to able access in turn to
the good life.
Martin Luther King her, he was a hero because that he fought for his ideas.
His speech 'I Have a dream' is still celebrate today. It is an example for
generations and generations, he was able to unite hundreads person for a
same cause.
Conclusion: In summary the myth and heros gives a good picture of a country
or an example for his citizen. The American dreams gives hope at people, he
gives a good image of the US. The heros like Martin Luther King is a person
we can identify oneself. It restores hope and the motivation to fight for
is thougt even when it is difficult, to not give up.To conclude, In my opinion myths and heros was important for our society.
Because they give hopes, they give motivation to not give up in her life.
They give example for the people. The earts needs some heros like MLK to
fight the injustice and inegalitie in the world. But they also need myhts
like American dream to hope and their and show when we fight for something
you get there. With anything myth and heros, what would our world? Voilà, j'ai quelques doutes sur le plan et la conclusion. Je n'avais pas
trop d'idée pour ce thème là :p.
