Exercice n° 3 .

a) (x² - 10)² - 36 = x^4 - 20x² + 100 - 36 = x^4 - 20x² + 64 .

b) x^4 - 20x² + 64 = (x² - 10)² - 36 = (x² - 10)² - 6²
= (x² - 10 - 6)(x² - 10 + 6) = (x² - 16)(x² - 4)
= (x² - 4²)(x² - 2²) = (x - 4)(x + 4)(x - 2)(x + 2) = 0 ,

donc : x - 4 = 0 ou x + 4 = 0 ou x - 2 = 0 ou x + 2 = 0 ,

donc : x = 4 ou x = - 4 ou x = 2 ou x = - 2 .

Exercice n ° 2 .

(2x - 3)(x + 5) = 0 ,
donc : 2x - 3 = 0 ou x + 5 = 0 ,
donc : 2x = 3 ou x = - 5 ,
donc : x = 3/2 ou x = - 5 .

(x - 7)(2x + 5)(- 3x - 2) = 0 ,
donc : x - 7 = 0 ou 2x + 5 = 0 ou - 3x - 2 = 0 ,
donc : x = 7 ou 2x = - 5 ou - 3x = 2 ,
donc : x = 7 ou x = - 5/2 ou x = - 2/3 .

(x - 2)(2x - 3) - (x + 5)(x - 2) = (x - 2)(2x - 3 - x - 5) = (x - 2)(x - 8) = 0 ,
donc : x - 2 = 0 ou x - 8 = 0 ,
donc : x = 2 ou x = 8 .

(x + 2)² - 9 = 0 ,
donc : (x + 2)² - 3² = 0 ,
donc : (x + 2 - 3)(x + 2 + 3) = 0 ,
donc : (x - 1)(x + 5) = 0 ,
donc : x - 1 = 0 ou x + 5 = 0 ,
donc : x = 1 ou x = - 5 .

(x - 3)(2x + 2) = x² - 9 ,
donc : (x - 3)(2x + 2) = (x - 3)(x + 3) ,
donc : (x - 3)(2x + 2) - (x - 3)(x + 3) = 0 ,
donc : (x - 3)(2x + 2 - x - 3) = 0 ,
donc : (x - 3)(x - 1) = 0 ,
donc : x - 3 = 0 ou x - 1 = 0 ,
donc : x = 3 ou x = 1 .
