Good evening (morning) Mrs X
I wanted to tell you about my disconnected weekend. It was such an experience ! A hard one but very rewarding and instructive one in many ways.
As soon as I realized I had no more computer, cell phone I went into panic as if I was in jail. I didn't think I was going to react that much ! So I took my coat and my dog and went outside for a walk. My earphones and my music were missing me. Then , I went to the park, sat on a bench. I didn't know what to do with my hands. No way of texting, I was lost. I began to realize I was somehow, addict to my phone. I came back home, had dinner , went into my bedroom but....no....I couldn't chat with my friends.....I went back downstairs, watched a movie and then back to bed.
I woke up earlier on Saturday.....I had switched off the light way before midnight instead of 3 or 4 a.m. !! I was feeling nice, the weather was sunny, I decided to surprise my parents and ran to the bakery for fresh bread and croissants. I stayed home in the morning, I tidied my room and made my homework without my mum asking for it !! My parents had never ever seen me that way. The afternoon, I went to meet my friends as usual and will you guess what I realized. We were speaking or trying to together but they couldn't help texting or watching their messages as I was telling them my experience ! I got angry and fed up at the same time and went away. I wandered in the streets and for the first time of my life, I realized everybody was walking with a cellphone in their hands and suddenly I began to laugh. It was hilarious in fact. All those people living through that tiny thing !
I hurried up to the park, lay down on the grass, and listened to noises as birds, children laughing or crying and I felt so well, so relaxed.
The next day was about the same.
On Monday, I was smiling, I was really rested and I had even forgotten my phone at home !
